1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how 17854099 Canada Inc., operating as cruisr ("cruisr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, start a free trial, or use our services. It applies to visitors, prospective clients, and clients of cruisr's bookkeeping, close, and consolidation services.
cruisr's registered office is at 7275 Saint-Urbain, Local B01, Montréal, QC H2R 2Y5, Canada, and this policy is written to comply with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly: your name, work email, phone number, company name, and the answers you provide when you start a free trial or contact us (e.g., accounting system used, number of entities, approximate revenue).
Information from your connected accounting and financial systems, if you become a client: cruisr connects, on a read-only basis, to the QuickBooks Online or Xero file(s) you authorize, and to bank and credit-card feeds you or your financial institution authorize. Through these connections we can see transactions, balances, statements, and documents you upload or that flow through these connections. cruisr cannot move money into or out of any account, under any circumstance — there is no payment-movement capability built into the product.
Information collected automatically: standard technical information when you visit our website (IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and similar), collected via cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details.
Information from communications: if you email us, book a call, or otherwise contact our team, we keep a record of that communication.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to: provide and improve our bookkeeping, close, and consolidation services; run the free trial and respond to inquiries; operate, secure, and troubleshoot our website and product; communicate with you about your account or request; and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including tax and financial recordkeeping requirements that apply to our own business.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your financial data to train models on behalf of anyone other than your own account.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run cruisr, and only under contractual obligations that restrict the recipient to using it solely to provide services to us:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, who store and process data on our behalf.
- Banking-data connectivity providers, who facilitate the read-only bank and card feeds described above.
- AI service providers, whose models power categorization, drafting, and drafting-review workflows inside the product — always subject to human review before anything is finalized.
- Professional advisors (e.g., our own accountants, auditors, or lawyers), where necessary.
- Regulators or authorities, where required by law.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. How we protect your information
Access to client data inside cruisr is permissioned, logged, and governed by segregation-of-duties controls, dollar-threshold approval rules, and period locks, consistent with the controls described on our Trust & Security page. Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry-standard methods. Access is limited to personnel and systems that need it to do their jobs, and is reviewed periodically.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. If you cancel, you receive a full handover package of your data, and we retain a copy only as long as necessary for these purposes, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
7. Your rights
If you are located in Quebec, or protected by Law 25, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request that we stop using or disclosing it; withdraw consent (where we rely on consent); and request that we cease disseminating your information or de-index it, in certain circumstances. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI).
If you're located elsewhere, you may have similar rights under the law that applies to you; contact us at the same address and we'll do our best to help, regardless of where you're located.
8. International data transfers
Where your information is processed or stored outside Quebec (for example, by a cloud provider with servers in another province or country), we take reasonable steps consistent with Law 25 to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection to what it would receive in Quebec.

10. Children's privacy
cruisr is a business-to-business service intended for use by adults acting on behalf of a company. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and our services are not directed at individuals under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
